Contacting Me

Sending Mail

My address at my post is:
Valerie Nelson
P. O. Box 617
Mamfe, Cameroon
alternately, you can still use the Yaounde address, which is:
Valerie Nelson
Corps de la Paix
B. P. 215
Yaounde, Cameroon
- Number the letters you send
- Use lots of tape on the outside to discourage them from getting opened
- Use the correct amount of postage; in this case, more is always better, and check with the Post Office, as I think it costs around 90 cents per letter

Sending Packages
- Use red tape
- Put religious markings (crosses, etc) on the package
- Insure the packages
- Use flat rate boxes or even better, those huge bubble envelopes
- Don't send valuables
- Hide tempting-to-steal items within less tempting shells (e.g., putting a watch in a feminine hygiene product box)
- Understand that it'll take anywhere from 4 weeks to 3 months to arrive (although some packages have only taken 10 days, so here's hoping!)

Visiting Me
I have 48 days of vacation, and it doesn't count if people visit me, so between March 5th of this year, and the last 3 months of my service, come on over! If you're serious about visiting, you'll need a Visa, and I can help with that, just an fyi. And I do have running water and electricity at post!
Texting Me
If you're interested in texting me for free (as in, zero cost to you at all), let me know either via email or comment, I'll give you my Cameroon phone number, and you can follow the following google instructions. I've tried it, and it works like a charm.
